Treasure Trail blanket Indigofera x Miriam Parkman "High Coast" collection
“Treasure Trail” depicts a walk on High Coast forest trails, where the sun has heated up cliffs, moss and lichen through the damp branches of pine trees and firs. The scent in the air is earthy, sweet, rich and full and so refreshing.
Originally this pattern happened in the loom as an experiment of exactly how much I could challenge my skills in the rölakan technique. How many angles and variations per weft could I keep track of? The result is the map of a Treasure Trail, a walk in dreamscapes and reality.
“The reality is, Indigofera blankets are works of art. In this case, the sublime human and artist Miriam Parkman developed a pattern and color palette that might just be your newest wall tapestry. The mixtures of coral, baby blue, and brown in this zig-zag pattern will blow your mind on this made in Norway Blanket. It's mean to mimic the way midnight lighting bounces off mountain ranges and mirrors the sky as it's reflected off the water. And the best part, you get two blankets for one. The inverse side of the blanket might be just as awe-inspiring as the front.”
