Nr. 1 Crazy shirt shawl
Nr. 1 Crazy shirt shawl
Handwoven shawl in plaid cord inspired by 50s beatnik looks and home ware textiles of the time, combined with one of my favorite movies, “Cry-baby” by John Waters. The name, “Crazy shirt” refers to the type of patch-work style shirt worn by beatniks, surfers and greasers alike in 50s and 60s America. This shawl was woven freely without a repeated pattern in a wide array of all my favorite colors and therefore reminded me of the crazy shirt (although “Coat of many colors” was an option too!)
Main colors: Rust red, teal blue, greyish black, pale yellow / bright green yellow, mint green, light turquoise, forest green, baby pink, peach brown, lipstick red
