Back piece weave

After a one month-long road trip to the USA I made this weave in Norsk diagonalrölakan, combining my inspirations and experiences from the trip with a traditional swedish textile I had seen earlier the same summer. The weave was later tailored into a jacket by seamstress Amanda Sharp in a 1950s casual/sports wear inspired design by me. The jacket features an adjustable waistband, a detachable wool-lined vest, four pockets and authentic metal zippers with ball hangers. This is the first jacket made by Miriam Parkman and Amanda Sharp, more to come.
